Amika Starr (they/them) is a Thai-American researcher and MA student in the Department of Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at Ohio State University. Their research adds to the growing field of asexuality and aromanticism studies, specifically working to decenter white universalism within the field and building on work at the intersections of Asian American studies and asexuality and aromanticism. They explore visual and literary cultural productions by Asian American and Thai American artists and authors to understand where and how we find asexual possibilities and resonances.
