Graduate Student Research Grant
The WGSS Department is pleased to offer the Graduate Student Research Grant to support the research activities and/or professional development of current WGSS graduate students. One or two awards up to $2,000 may be offered.
Examples of possible activities include:
- Travel to archives or to conduct fieldwork
- Methodological training
- Professional development opportunities that advance your research/academic profile
Eligibility:
To be eligible, you must be a current MA or PhD student in WGSS.
Required Application Materials:
- Proposal (250 words minimum) detailing how you plan to utilize the grant funds
- Detailed budget
- Current CV
- Letter of support from your faculty advisor
- (optional) Additional documents to support your proposal

*Recipients of the Graduate Student Research Award are required to share a summary (250-300 words) of how the funds were used, along with any photos/media of their experience. Please note these may be shared on the WGSS website, social media, or for other marketing efforts.
