WS Alumna Sabrina Hersi Issa Receives Young Alumni Achievement Award

Alumna Sabrina Hersi Issa (BA, 2006)

Women’s Studies alumna Sabrina Hersi Issa recently won the 2019 Young Alumni Achievement Award!

Each year, the College of Arts and Sciences recognizes several alumni who have contributed to fields such as the arts, public service, academics, and business, and are making strides in their careers. In particular, the Young Alumni Achievement Award is given one alum who is 35 years old or younger and has demonstrated achievement in a career, civic involvement, or both. Recipients of the award are honored at the college’s annual awards dinner.

Sabrina graduated from The Ohio State University in 2006, triple-majoring in International Studies, Political Science and Women’s Studies. In Forbes Magazine, she was recognized on its Top 30 Under 30 list, and has contributed work focusing on technology, power and human rights to multiple publications such as NBC News, NPR, and the Washington Post. With a focus on global advocacy and media innovation, Sabrina is currently the CEO of Be Bold Media, a global digital agency that works with campaigns and organizations on strategic transformation initiatives, policy innovation and movement-building.

Congratulations to Sabrina on this amazing accomplishment!
