Juno Salazar Parreñas recently discussed her forthcoming book, Decolonizing Extinction: The Work of Care in Orangutan Rehabilitation, with Berlin-based sound artists Island Songs (Nicolas Perret and Sylvia Ploner) for German radio station Savvy Funk's special broadcast for the 14th documenta international contemporary art festival, which takes place in the German city of Kassel every 5 years.

The interview was internationally streamed on the website of Deutschlandfunkkultur. Other interviewees include historian Dipesh Chakrabarty (University of Chicago), geographer Juanita Sundberg (University of British Columbia), as well as microbiologist and social anthropologist César Enrique Giraldo Herrera (University of Oxford).
