Iconic Chilean muralist and printmaker Alejandro "Mono" González will visit OSU campus on September 10th and 11th. González is the co-founder of the muralist collective Brigada Ramona Parra which in the late 1960's and early 70s worked on the successful presidential campaign of Salvador Allende who would later die during the violent military coup lead by Augosto pinichet in 1973. González has continued to paint murals throughout Chile and abroad becoming one of the most important public and community artists in Latin America.

"A Public Conversation with the Artist": In remembrance of the 42 years since the 9/11 military coup in Chile, González will sit down with professors Inés Valdez Tappatá, Laura Podalsky and Guisela Latorre to discuss his career as an artist as well as his involvement in social movements and his unique perspective on Latin American history and culture.
