The Center for Feminist Research, Education & Engagement (FREE Center) is thrilled to welcome academic, feminist, and activist Loretta Ross on Monday, March 24th, 2025.
Ross is a cofounder of SisterSong and Women of Color Reproductive Justice Collective, and is one of twelve women credited with coining the phrase and framework “reproductive justice.” Regarded as a key voice on women’s rights, she continually combats racism, sexism and sexual violence, particularly by creating coalitions by and for women affected by these inequities.
During this 90 minute talk and Q&A session, Ross will address the origins of the term “reproductive justice,” using a human rights framework to center the movement and its applicability to current and future reproductive health and social justice issues.
We also invite you to join us for a pre-event reception, which will feature community partners from across Central Ohio who are active in the reproductive health and social justice spaces.
This event will be held at the WOSU Studios at 1800 N Pearl St, across from the Ohio Union.
4:00 - 5:00pm: Reception featuring community partners
5:00 - 6:30pm: Loretta Ross talk
Pre-registration is requested.
