The Ohio State Center for Feminist Research, Education and Engagement (FREE Center) is pleased to announce the 2024 Fall Writing Retreat for Graduate Students.
The retreat is an opportunity for Ohio State graduate students engaged in feminist scholarship to advance in their academic writing. The event will take place Wednesday, Dec. 4, and Thursday, Dec. 5 (Reading Day), at the Research Commons in the 18th Avenue Library. There will be morning and afternoon sessions on both days.
The Fall Writing Retreat for Graduate Students provides a quiet space to work, structured writing time, light breakfast (coffee, tea, pastries) and a catered lunch, and an encouraging, motivating community. All participants should be engaged in feminist scholarship and working on academic writing projects (doctoral dissertation, master’s thesis, article/book chapter, etc.). The FREE Center asks that participating graduate students commit to attending at least one session (morning or afternoon) each day.
Registration is required. The deadline to register is Monday, Nov. 11. Limited spots are available. If you have any questions, please contact the FREE Center at free@osu.edu
