“How to Do the History of Sexuality: Perspectives from Three New Faculty in History”

As part of the 2014 Sexuality Studies Lecture Series, Clayton Howard, Katherine Marino, and Daniel Rivers will review some of the challenges of doing research on the history of sexuality as well as some of the issues that arise in efforts to legitimate the field within the larger discipline of History. The panelists will also provide examples of historical methods and approaches to writing the history of sexuality taken from their current research projects.
