Though America, Goddam is rich in theory, history and research, Treva Lindsey, associate professor of women’s, gender and sexuality studies, wrote it from the perspective of a survivor who has felt the impacts of the concepts she examines. The book, set to publish April 5, explores how anti-Blackness, misogyny, patriarchy and capitalism have combined to impact Black women and girls.
