Please save the dates Sunday, February 26th and Monday, February 27th for free screenings of the film Miss Representation sponsored by the Department of Women's Gender & Sexuality Studies @ OSU, the Women's Place, the Office of Outreach and Engagement, The Girls Circle Project @ OSU and King Avenue United Methodist Church. Miss Representation addresses the media's limited and often negative portrayals of women and girls and how this contributes to the challenges women face in attaining positions of power, influence and leadership. The film premiered at Sundance and premiered on the Oprah Winfrey Network in October. We are excited to bring the film to Columbus for its first local showings.

Monday, February 27 @ 6pm at the Wexner Center for the Arts

February 26th-- Film begins at 4pm and will be followed by a panel discussion featuring Barbara Riley, former director of the Ohio Department of Aging; Mary Jo Hudson, former director of the Ohio Department of Insurance and Columbus City Council member; and Ohio Senator Charleta B. Tavares. The panel will be moderated by Dr. Wendy Smooth, from the Department of Women's Gender & Sexuality Studies.
ADMISSION IS FREE, but you will need to get a ticket when you arrive from the ticket counter. Tickets will be available one hour prior to the showing at the GATEWAY FILM CENTER.
February 27th --Film begins at 6pm and will be followed by a panel discussion featuring Dr. Shari Savage from the OSU Department of Art Education and Victoria Genetin from the Department of Women's Gender & Sexuality Studies.
ADMISSION IS FREE, Seating is open to OSU students as well as to the public
