The Ohio State University Collegiate Recovery Community, College of Public Health, and Addiction Innovation Fund present “Recovery x Identity,” a panel discussion that celebrates the transformative power of recovery by uplifting the voices of individuals who hold an often marginalized identity in society.

Our discussion will focus on the hopefulness, beauty, and restorative nature that recovery plays in people’s lives while addressing how personal identities and participation in our communities influence our recovery journey. We will highlight recovery in communities of individuals whose identities are often not centered within nor celebrated by mainstream culture by sharing personal experiences and reflections.
Moderator
Dr. Linda Mizejewski is a person in long-term recovery and a distinguished professor in the Department of Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies at Ohio State. She has developed a service-learning course, "Feminist Perspectives on Addiction," and serves on the board of the Collegiate Recovery Community.
