WGSS Lecturer Desiree Tims featured in Vanity Fair

WGSS Lecturer Desiree Tims was recently interviewed for a Vanity Fair article concerning ballot measures in Ohio and their impact on reproductive justice. Speaking on the August 8th special election ballot measure in Ohio to raise the threshold for passing constitutional amendments from 50%-plus-one to 60%, Tims noted "Ohioans are fully capable of deciding when laws should be amended or updated or changed.... It is an election created to suppress the will of Ohioans, and I don’t think that’s going to go down easily."
Tims serves as President and CEO of Innovative Ohio, a non-profit policy organization that connects advocacy, activism, and policymaking in Ohio. She also teaches WGSST 3385: Women in Political Leadership Internship in Autumn and Spring semesters.
