'Frontiers: A Journal of Women Studies' to be published at Ohio State

Frontiers: A Journal of Women Studies– one of the premier publications in the field of feminist/gender studies -- will be published at The Ohio State University for the next five years starting in May 2012, with support provided by Ohio State’s College of Arts and Sciences; Departments of History and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies; Office of Diversity and Inclusion; and The Women’s Place. The journal – which explores the critical intersections of gender, race, sexuality, and transnationalism – will be edited by Guisela Latorre from the Department of Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies (WGSS) and Judy Tzu-Chun Wu, from the Departments of History and WGSS. The journal previously had been published at Arizona State University under the editorial leadership of Susan Gray and Gayle Gullett.

Frontierswill celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2015. One special issue per year for the next five years will reflect on significant events and topics from 40 years ago, with the first commemorating Roe vs. Wade. That issue, to be guest edited by Professor Mytheli Sreenivas, welcomes scholarly, creative writing, and visual art submissions on reproductive rights, reproductive justice, and reproductive technologies.
