While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. The Center for Feminist Research, Education and Engagement (FREE Center) is excited to announce its Fall 2025 kick-off event, "Transforming the Landscape: Revisiting Feminist Research & Teaching in this Moment." On Monday, September 15th, from 3 to 5 p.m., faculty, staff, and graduate students are invited to join the FREE Center as we launch into a new semester with a focus on feminist collaboration across campus and throughout the community.

The event will begin with a reception and brief remarks from the FREE Center Advisory Board. Attendees will learn more about the work being done by the Research & Connection Clusters, as well as new research initiatives for the 2025-26 academic year.

The second half of this event will bring FREE Center affiliates together in conversation as we discuss the implications of feminist research & teaching in this moment of uncertainty and explore opportunities to remain both active and vigilant.

Light refreshments will be served.
