Maggie Jackson is a PhD student in the Department of Women, Gender & Sexuality Studies at the Ohio State University. She holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in Art History and English Literature from Kalamazoo College, and a Masters degree in Sociology from Goldsmiths, University of London, where her concentration was in Gender, Media & Culture. Her recent work examines the affective resonances of queer identities in online fandom and presents a critical view of the 'rehabilitory' resituation of fans as 'readers' in recent scholarship. Maggie has previously written about feminist perspectives on contemporary YA fiction and the shared literary DNA of Oscar Wilde and Batman. She is the recipient of a 2015 Goldsmiths International Postgraduate Scholarship and is a Distinguished University Fellow at the Ohio State University.
