Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

Lorna Closeil (She/Her) is a Haitian-American, Black feminist practitioner and PhD student in the Department of Women's, Gender and Sexuality Studies. Her research centers the world-making practices of Black feminist abolitionists within digital spaces through an afro-futurist lens. At the root of all her work, she asks: what can the quotidian resistance, refusal, and rage of Black women and girls teach us regarding what might be possible for more just and equitable futures?

Lorna is also fascinated with Afro-Queeribbean sexual politics, and the ways the erotic manifests in the lives and friendships of Black women and girls.
