WGSS kicks off the 2021-2022 academic year in fierce fashion with "Abolition Is...", a Teach In on the meanings, practice, and horizons of abolition. Organized by WGSS faculty member Dr. Jenny Suchland, the event features a litany of approaches to abolition writ large.  Speakers will discuss new ideas in 10 minute increments. Topics range from prison and police abolition to disability justice and decriminalizing sex work. Participants will engage in active collaboration through zine-making, poetry reading, and an open mic. Be sure to stop by and join in on the vital work of abolition for all!
